Prosecutor says law violations in pricing double in last 12 months

MOSCOW, Apr 23 (PRIME) -- The number of law violations in pricing more than doubled over the last 12 months, and first-priority goods and protective equipment prices grew, Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov said on Friday.

"The number of detected violations in the sphere of pricing more than doubled, to 2,295 from 1,129," Krasnov said. He added that unjustified growth of first-priority goods prices demanded prosecutor intervention.

The measures adopted by the authorities earlier allowed to cut prices or prevent their unjustified growth in many regions, the official said.
